BurstMix.zip - the contents of
the rehearsal CD in mp3 format.
These zipped folders contain the sound files, in mp3 format, of the electronic
sounds parts.
The folder marked CD 1 should be unzipped, and then you'll
have 74 mp3 format sound files. These should be
put into an mp3 player, or else converted to WAV files, and burned
onto a CD. This will be CD 1 of the
set of 2 performance CDs, 1 rehearsal CD and a score that make up the
materials of this piece.
The folder marked CD 2 should be unzipped, and then you'll have 74
more mp3 format sound files. Unzip it to a different folder than the
one into
which you unzipped the CD1 zip file. These mp3 files should also be
put into a second mp3 player, or converted to WAV files and burned
onto a CD.
This will be CD2 of the set of
2 performance CDs, 1 rehearsal CD and a score that make up the materials
of this piece.
The folder marked "Burst Mix" should be unzipped. It has
1 eight minute sound file in it. This can be used
in mp3 format, or converted to a WAV file and burned to a separate
CD, as a rehearsal sound file, to emulate
the approximate sound of the 2 performance CDs being played together.
This will be the rehearsal CD of the
set of 2 performance CDs, 1 rehearsal CD and a score that will make
up the materials of this piece.
The score was composed using Arun Chandra's WIGOUT program. The wiggly lines
the string player plays are some small parts of the actual waveforms that are
in
the electronics
part, although they will sound very different than the electronic sounds.
